CRIMINAL MATTERS AND MOTIONS:  

All criminal matters will be scheduled IN PERSON on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. 

Motions: Judge White requires a 35-day notice for criminal motions. The Criminal Duty Magistrate Judge will schedule a Status Conference and Judge White will schedule other criminal hearings after the initial Status Hearing is held.  

CHANGES OF PLEA:  

The parties shall submit any proposed Plea Agreement or Application for Entry of Guilty Plea by no later than 9:00 am the Friday prior to the Change of Plea hearing. Submission to be made to each of the following email addresses:

CIVIL LAW AND MOTION:

Pending further order of the Court, all civil law and motion matters will be submitted on the papers. See General Orders 72, 73.

If the Court determines a hearing is required, the hearing will be conducted by ZOOM during the Court’s normal law and motion calendar at 9:00 am, unless otherwise specified by the Court.  The Court will follow its usual procedure by posting a Notice of Tentative Ruling and/or Questions for Hearing before the hearing date. (Please see below for ZOOM access and information).

The Court’s procedures for ZOOM appearances are set forth below. 

Although the presumption is that motions will be resolved on the papers, the parties shall notice motions on an open and available date on the Court’s Civil Law and Motion calendar – see available hearing dates below.

CASE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCES:

All Case Management Conferences shall be conducted by  Zoom Video Conference (unless otherwise notified by the Court) on the Court’s Case Management calendar – Fridays at 9:00 am. 

The Court may issue a Scheduling Order without conducting a hearing. 

The Court’s procedures for video conference appearances are set forth below. 

All parties shall connect to the hearing no later than 10 minutes prior to the scheduled appearance time to check-in with the Courtroom Deputy.

PLEASE NOTE: Some dates below have terminal digits next to the date.  You can only notice a hearing for cases ending in these terminal digits on that day, otherwise the date is CLOSED. **  **A TERMINAL DIGIT IS THE LAST NUMBER IN THE CASE NUMBER:  FOR EXAMPLE - 4:09-CV-00001 JSW:  the 1 is the terminal digit.  In related cases, please follow the directions below.
