REGARDING JUDGE GONZALEZ ROGERS' CALENDARS:

 GENERAL CALENDAR

• All Civil Case Management Conferences are on Mondays at 2:00 p.m. and will be held by Zoom videoconference.
• Parties to register Zoom appearance for Case Management Conferences on the preceding Friday not later than 12:00 PM PST by sending an e-mail to ygrcrd@cand.uscourts.gov
  
• Beginning July 6, 2026, all Civil Law and Motion Hearings are held in-person on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m. unless otherwise indicated on the case docket or calendar.
• If the Court is in trial; Civil Law and Motion Hearings are held in-person on Tuesdays at 2:15 p.m.
• All Criminal proceedings are in person on unless otherwise ordered. In-custody will precede out of custody.  Status conferences will precede sentencings and pleas.  To the extent possible, the court will set stagger schedules to reduce wait time.
• Beginning July 6, 2026, Criminal Law and Motion (in-custody) on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m.
• Beginning July 6, 2026, Criminal Law and Motion (out of custody) on Thursdays at 11:00 a.m.
• If the Court is in trial; Criminal out of custody settings are Wednesdays at 2:15 p.m. and in-custody settings are Thursdays at 2:15 p.m.
• Parties are advised to check their case docket the day before a scheduled hearing to determine whether the hearing is remote or in person.
• Civil Pretrial Conferences are Fridays at 9:00 a.m.
• Criminal Pretrial Conferences are Fridays at 9:00 a.m.
• Trials commence on Mondays at 8:00 a.m.

 Judge Gonzalez Rogers is unavailable on May 29, 2026; June 1-5, 2026; June 10, 2026; June 25, 2026 (AM settings only); June 30, 2026 (12:00 PM onwards); July 20-22, 2026; July 24, 2026; July 29, 2026 (12:00 PM onwards) - August 7, 2026; September 17-18, 2026; September 28, 2026; September 30, 2026 (11:00 AM-2:00 PM); and November 2-4, 2026.

OTHER NOTES

Order of call is determined by the Court.

A Pre-Filing Conference for Summary Judgment motions is required.  See the Court’s Standing Order for Civil Cases.

No changes to hearing dates except by signed order of the Court, by a signed stipulation and order or Motion for Administrative Relief per Civil L.R. 7-11 (See Standing Order in Civil Cases, paragraph 3).

Compliance Deadlines are set Fridays at 9:01 a.m.  Compliance Deadlines will be addressed on the papers and no personal appearances will be held.  An additional conference, including a personal appearance, may be set if a Compliance Deadline is not complied with. 

As always, and to the extent possible, parties and their counsel are highly encouraged to resolve issues without formal motion practice.  Parties, at any time, may also consent to any magistrate judge of their choice for all purposes. 

CRIMINAL CASES:  Cases set for a change of plea without a plea agreement, counsel are to use the Application for Permission to Enter Plea of Guilty and Order Form which is on the Court's website under Criminal Forms.

CRIMINAL CASES: In instances of a Change of Plea by a Plea Agreement, a copy of the Plea Agreement needs to be submitted to Chambers ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE  of the hearing. 

CRIMINAL CASES: Given the Court's trial schedule this, all out of custody criminal hearings will be held on Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m. In-custody criminal hearings to remain on Thursdays at 2:30 p.m.
