ALL civil and criminal litigants with matters currently pending before
United States District Judge Haywood S. Gilliam, Jr., Northern District of
California, the Court issues the following
additional guidance:

All Criminal Law & Motion
matters are held in-person on WEDNESDAYS at 2:00 p.m. 4._
All Civil Law and Motion hearings are held
in-person on THURSDAYS at 2:00 p.m. unless otherwise ordered. The Court has returned to holding its
Civil Law & Motion calendar in person. To the extent the Court finds that a motion
may be decided on the papers and a hearing is not necessary, the Court will
alert the parties as soon as practicable.

Extensions and Continuations. Case deadlines and hearing dates may only be
continued by stipulation and order (Civil L.R. 6-2) or by motion (Civil L.R.
6-3). 7._ Proposed Orders.
All Proposed Orders MUST be submitted in Word format to Judge
Gilliam’s proposed order email address at hsgpo@cand.uscourts.gov. 8._ Chambers Copies. Parties
need not submit chambers copies of any filings unless directed by the Court. 9._
Noticing
Hearings. The next available
civil law and motion date is April 9, 2026. Parties do not need to reserve a
hearing date on or after this date.
However, parties must check the
list of unavailable dates below before noticing any motion. o There is also limited availability for hearings
on the following dates: No Limited Dates Available §Before
noticing a motion for one of these limited dates,
parties should email hsgcrd@cand.uscourts.gov to
confirm availability. o If you currently have a properly noticed
motion e-filed on the docket but would like it heard on one of the earlier
dates, you should email hsgcrd@cand.uscourts.gov to
confirm availability. Once availability
is confirmed, you may e-file an administrative motion or a stipulation and
proposed order requesting the earlier date. If granted, the Court will advance the hearing
