TO ALL civil and criminal litigants with matters currently pending before United States District Magistrate Judge Lisa J. Cisneros., Northern District of California. The Court issues the following additional guidance: 1. All Civil Case Management Conferences will be held and recorded via zoom. 2. All Civil Law and Motion hearings will be held in person. To the extent the Court finds that a motion may be decided on the papers and a hearing is not necessary, the Court will alert the parties. COURT SCHEDULE: 1. Criminal Law and Motion hearings will be held in person on Tuesday’s at 1:30 p.m. on non-Criminal Duty months. The Court’s Criminal Duty Schedule is available at https://www.cand.uscourts.gov/calendars/duty-schedules/. 2. Civil Law and Motion hearings will held on Tuesdays 10:30 a.m. in person during non-Criminal Duty months; during Criminal Duty Months (see dates below), hearings will be held Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. in person. 3. Civil Case Management Conferences are heard Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. via Zoom Webinar 4. Pretrial Conferences are heard Fridays at 2:00 p.m. Trials will start on Mondays from 8:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. 4. Settlement conferences are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, starting at 10:00 a.m. - Settlement conferences are generally held in person. Telephonic pre-settlement conference meetings are held Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. (Non Criminal Duty Months) and Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. (During Criminal Duty Months) 5. Judge Cisneros will handle San Francisco Criminal Duty during the following months: October 2025, March 2026, September 2026 6. Judge Cisneros will be handling the Oakland Criminal Duty Calendar from June 1, 2026 through June 15, 2026. UNAVAILABLE DATES: Please take notice of Magistrate Judge Lisa J. Cisneros will not be available on the below dates. The Court will not be in session during these periods of unavailability. If urgency requires, counsel in any case assigned or referred to Magistrate Judge Cisneros may request a hearing before the General Duty Judge pursuant to Civil Local Rule 7-1(c).
